How's the census out there? Out of the postings I have been seeing, not a lot of takers. I know each of us is seious about it as we have made the choice to post here. For those who don't know, is there other choices too for inquiring about MT's or what? I only know of one other website.

I have found quicktopic.com and ruralcarriertransfers.com
as the 2 I most use. I also have received phone numbers of human resources of an area, but really haven't been able to dot all the I's and crossing all the T's |

I've heard of a USPS sponsored program called eTransfer. I'd look for that at LiteBlue

Well, we also keep an eye out on Postal Employee Network for listings too. I imagine that it's going to be a fairly slim chance to get exactly where you want to be so how long have you been waiting for a Mutual Transfer to your specific desired location and would you consider states surrounding if you weren't needing to be 'right there'?

Yeop, checked there but it would be nice if they LISTED where there are vacancies and not like ok, I want to go here and then there be nothing.

Yes, I understand that D. It is just a hurry up and wait process. The thing that sucks is you have to plan financially, find a place to move to and all of it hinges on the right timing! It's not like planning to move, saving and then moving - you have no idea when something or someone will be a match for what you seek.

Hi been trying for about 2 years(I guess). Anyway a while. Have not got serious responses--really-- I am in Louisiana the west side closest to Texas border. Our recovery was excellent after Rita--we are back to normal. We were delivering mail on the street a couple of weeks after. You would think someone from the north would love to come down here where it is warm all year. Not to mention they get a LLV and great office. Have had alot of offers most I have gotten are from high cost of living areas. The USPS does not adjust salary according to cost of living. Hoping for a moderate cost of living. Another carrier and my self are just waiting for some one from Md,Ct,Pa or Washington D.C. area to come down here to my office. Find it hard to believe no one wants out of the snow for next year.

The problem with ereasign is that none of the listings are current. I tried to request in a number of areas that had listed openings, but got a message thanking me but they had no openings. I talked to someone in my district transfer office and they said that those links are never updated. I had a hit from the rural carrier mutual transfer site, but he couldn't wait the three months I needed to get outta dodge so to speak
